Anne is woke up to an oxygen mask overher being taken by ambulance to the hospital. She realized that she has been brougth back to modern day Anne. The neurosurgeion told her that she had an aneurysm that had ruptured and she was bleeding in her brain and an operation was needed immmediatly. After the surgery was over, Anne was told that she was lucky that shehad survived but also was told that she had another aneurysm still in her brain further inbedded that surgery could not be done and if it were to rupture she was at significant risk for death. The hospital ended up sending her to a psychiatrist because they thought she was depressed. In a way, she probably was. Modern day Anne just wanted to be back in Tudor times wiht the family she had come to love and enjoy.
Finally Anne was released to go home but she had to take it easy for awhile. Her friend kae came to pick her up. Anne was excited to see Kate and catch up on how Daniel was, and if he had come to visit. Kate thought that maybefromt his scare that he might have decided to fianlly leave his wife to be with Anne. Finally getting to Anne's home and saying goodbye to her friend, Anne had devoted her attention to her history books to learn more about the people she met and to re-visit the ones she missed. One thing I liked about this part of the book was learning the back groind on why Anne got there and how she and Daniel met. The relationship had been going on for several years. Anne compared more of Daniel and Henry referred to him as her soulmate, the same as Henry and Anne. This emergency at Hever woke Daniel up to make him realize that he didnt want to be with out Anne but he could leave his daughter. Daniel was visiting Anne more oftern, when he could find the time. Finally Anne asked him to take her back to Hever for a visit. He agreed to take her one day while he was working and woudl pick her back up.
