Final blog for Ms Hanson's class

English!! This has never been a subject i cared much for. But I strongly feel theat Ms. Hanson made this class somethign that we all enjoyed. I have a busy work life and like to read but never seem to have the tmie anymore so needless to say I really enjoyed being able to read the book. I will say one thing that I was not crazy about, and still not, is the blogging. To me it felt like something I would have to consistantly keep up with, i have enough of that already working full time and goign back to school. But on the same not I liked reading what my fellow students wrote about and the way thought about things, so I guess it wasnt all that bad. One thing I truely liked is that we didnt ahve to take a final, they are intimidating. I will miss my fellow students and Ms. Hanson, we had great times learning together, I think. Good luck to all and who knows maybe another class all together again with Ms. Hanson included!

Continue Section 3

First I would like to say that i have enjoyed this book tremendously. I learned a great deal about Tudor times. the Renasaince time has never been one of my favorite things so i never gave it much attention.
I Would like to say that the way it ended with Daniel calling Anne made me curious. That is the best way to get the next book sold thats for sure.
From Anne having anurisms, possible seizures and even Daniel's daughter gettting Menigites, it makes me very thankful for my good health.

Section 3 to finish the book

Anne is woke up to an oxygen mask overher being taken by ambulance to the hospital. She realized that she has been brougth back to modern day Anne. The neurosurgeion told her that she had an aneurysm that had ruptured and she was bleeding in her brain and an operation was needed immmediatly. After the surgery was over, Anne was told that she was lucky that shehad survived but also was told that she had another aneurysm still in her brain further inbedded that surgery could not be done and if it were to rupture she was at significant risk for death. The hospital ended up sending her to a psychiatrist because they thought she was depressed. In a way, she probably was. Modern day Anne just wanted to be back in Tudor times wiht the family she had come to love and enjoy.
Finally Anne was released to go home but she had to take it easy for awhile. Her friend kae came to pick her up. Anne was excited to see Kate and catch up on how Daniel was, and if he had come to visit.  Kate thought that maybefromt his scare that he might have decided to fianlly leave his wife to be with Anne. Finally getting to Anne's home and saying goodbye to her friend, Anne had devoted her attention to her history books to learn more about the people she met and to re-visit the ones she missed. One thing I liked about this part of the book was learning the back groind on why Anne got there and how she and Daniel met. The relationship had been going on for several years. Anne compared more of Daniel and Henry referred to him as her soulmate, the same as Henry and Anne. This emergency at Hever woke Daniel up to make him realize that he didnt want to be with out Anne but he could leave his daughter. Daniel was visiting Anne more oftern, when he could find the time. Finally Anne asked him to take her back to Hever for a visit. He agreed to take her one day while he was working and woudl pick her back up.

Elizabeth greats her telling her she can’t go toher chambers that the sweaty sickness is back (pg 280). The last time the sickness struck was 1525 and it wrecked the entire country. Her mother then told her that Bess had gotten it. Anne wanted to go to the King but learned he left already (pg 282). This angered Anne, she felt betrayed that he had not stayed to take her but instead took Katherine (pg 284). Bess died of the sweaty sickness.

Luckily within 2 days he was writing telling them he was well again. Anne wrote a letter letting Henry know how angry she was that he just left her. A message brought her a response. Henry assured her that he loved her and not to be upset. Arriving at Hever, Anne fell sick to the sweat. She had gotten so bad that she fell into unconsciousness (pg293).

Poem

First I would like it know that I have been dreading this. I am not good at poems. But her I goes anyway

Scared to get close
Surely to get hurt
Nevermind let's give it a try
I have fallen so very hard too many times
Please be careful, my heart will break

Chapters 13-15

Chapter 13- Anne couldn’t understand why her mother was making such a fuss about getting the castle ready when it was just them and Lady Margaret Butler, Thomas’s mother for Christmas. Elizabeth told her they must always be prepared for unexpected visitors. This turned out to be true, on Christmas Eve morning they received a surprise visit from Margaret Wyatt. Anne enjoyed this as they were good friends. During this visit over the next couple of weeks, Anne learned that she was married to John R Warwickshire, had 6 children with one passing at 5yrs old (pg186). Anne and Margery were having girl talk, it came up about the King and Anne confided that she was to become Queen (pg188). Margery warned Anne to be careful that Katherine has powerful connections.  Elizabeth and Anne arrived back at Hever to find a message waiting from the King. She replied back, next 2 weeks later 2 visitors came to Hever Castle with another message from King Henry (pg196).

Chapter 14- Anne was out riding on her New Year’s gift, Starlight (white mare), from the King. She noticed several men arriving at the entrance of Hever. Gardnier and Fox came under the King’s orders to bring her another letter and also to report to Anne about them traveling to see the Pope (pg201). Anne invited them to stay. This gave her an opportunity to talk with Dr Foxe. He caught her with the Master Tyndale’s Bible. Startled, Dr Foxe assured her that it ok and that they shared the same beliefs. He gave her another book The Obediance of a Christian Man, also by William Tyndale. It was another that was smuggled in to England but later to be stolen from her but one of Wolsey’s Men (pg208).  She could see that he and other members of the court were depending on her to convince the King in ways of the religion from Catholicism. From here she would have no more hesitancy and be ready to accept her role as Queen (pg209).

Chapter 15- Late February Anne and her mother were to go back to Windsor Castle as guest of honor to the King. At this time there has been no new news of the annulment status. On the way they pass Cardinal Wolsey’s palace. It was lavish considered the Cardinal was a butcher’s son. This was made more obvious to Anne that he was using money that belonged to the King to line his pockets and furnish his houses (pg212). As they arrived at Windsor the King himself was waiting for them. The King kept his word, Anne was no longer waiting on the Queen and she was put up in a more grader of apartments by herself. And her maids were also there. While getting dressed for the dinner that evening, Anne learns of her other friend, Joan was pregnant and sick (pg220). Joan was married to Anthony Denny in 1527, who was already in the King’s service. This party was different for Anne because everyone treated her with more respect. The King offered Anne with one more surprise, her dearest friend Margery to serve Anne. Later Anne learned from her father that Thomas Cheney was petitioning the Cardinal to sell wardship of Katherine back to her family and have Anne Broughton instead (pg228). The next morning Anne was getting ready to accompany the King on a hunt, while getting mounted behind the King she glanced up. Anne saw Queen Katherine watching, furious to what she was seeing (pg230). The following day Anne and Katherine were to face each other. Katherine spoke first telling her she thinks she has risen herself from the common whore to soon be the wife. Anne sharply replied that she is still pure and the King no longer wants to bed her. From that point on Anne never was intimidated by Katherine again (pg 232).
